Short on Soul is a narrative indie game that reimagines the myth of Charon, the ferryman of souls.
The story follows a mysterious journey across stormy seas and fading memories, where the boundaries between life and death slowly blur.
My main contributions included:
• Creating pixel art animations and cutscenes to support key story moments in the Pixel Art moment (game also has 3D and illustrated parts).
• Making all characters unique and expressive to convey the depth of the story.
• Developing frame-by-frame animations focused on atmosphere and emotion.
• Contributing to visual storytelling and direction, aligning tone and pacing with the narrative.
• Concept art for 3 types of endings.
This project blends traditional pixel animation with emotional storytelling, aiming to deliver a reflective and immersive experience.
